Fair use rationale for Image:Veggie rocks cover.jpg

[edit]

Image:Veggie rocks cover.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page. BetacommandBot 20:39, 3 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

I already deleted the none-free image. 68.34.4.143 (talk) 21:10, 31 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The fair use rationale on the image page states "This image enhances the article in which it's displayed, as it provides an immediate relevance to the reader more capably than the textual description alone." There is nothing on the image page that notifies that it is subject to be deleted for the reasons you mentioned, nor does it fill those conditions. Fair use is justified. —Akrabbimtalk 02:06, 9 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Do you even know if this person who created this page asked permmission from Big idea themselves? If he/she did then I will restore the image. 68.34.4.143 (talk) 03:05, 11 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I have re-uploaded the image (under Veggie rocks.png), since you allowed it to be deleted. This message was generated back in 2007, and since then fair use rationale was provided. Then you removed the link a year later, I didn't catch it in time to explain, and the image was deleted since it was orphaned. It was not deleted because we aren't allowed to use it. Written consent is not necessary for every little album cover - that's what 'fair use' means. There are thousands of album covers on Wikipedia, and all they need is fair use rationale, which is provided. Please see WP:NFC for the guidelines. —Akrabbimtalk 21:38, 19 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
