Teemu Tanner (b. 1985) is a Finnish former indie rock singer and guitarist living in Helsinki.

Bands and TV Appearances Tanner has been the frontman for bands like Kynnet and Hopeajärvi. He has also been part of bands such as The Munchies, Lady Escape, Love Sport, and Teksti-TV 666. Tanner has appeared on the Yleisradio television show Sohvaperunat. In 2017, Tanner was fined for defamation after calling Pertti Nykänen of the Suomi Ensin movement a racist while Nykänen was filming the band's performance at the Vantaa Tikkurila Block Party.

Sexual Assault Allegations and Rape Conviction Tanner announced in the fall of 2021 that he would be ending his career due to the controversy surrounding him on Instagram's Punkstoo channel, where he was accused of sexual violence. It involved unprotected intercourse without consent, which Tanner himself confessed to and announced he would stop performing. Additionally, Love Sport's former bandmate Max Mäkinen revealed Tanner's manipulative behavior. Charges were brought against Tanner for sexual assault in the Helsinki District Court in the summer of 2023. In March of the following year, Tanner was convicted of rape and sentenced to one year of probation, and ordered to pay the victim €2,000 in compensation for mental suffering.
