Location of Sabinov District in the Prešov Region

Brezovica, fully Brezovica nad Torysou (Hungarian: Berzevice, Berzevicze) is a village and municipality in Sabinov District in the Prešov Region of north-eastern Slovakia.

History[edit]

In historical records the village was first mentioned in 1317 as Berzeuice.

Brezovica and Levočské vrchy Mts.

The municipality lies at an altitude of 456 metres (1525.59 feet) and covers an area of 18.235 km² (7 mi²). It has a population of about 1700 people.
