James Cahoon (born c. 2001 is an American football quarterback. He played college football for Bridgewater State.
College career
Cahoon attended and played high school football for Bourne High School in Bourne, Massachusetts.[1] As a senior he threw for 2,657 yards and 25 touchdowns.[1] He committed to play college football for NCAA Division III Bridgewater State in 2019.[1]
Cahoon appeared in two games his freshman season before the 2020 season was canceled due to COVID-19. He was the starter for all ten of the team's games in 2021.[1] He led the team to a 6–4 record and threw for 2,308 yards and eighteen touchdowns.
In 2022, Cahoon led the team to a 7–4 record and a win in the 2022 New England Bowl over Catholic University, their second win since 2018.[2] He threw for a career-high 2,658 yards and 25 touchdowns. He was also named as the Second Team All-Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) quarterback.[3] In 2023, he led the team to a 7–3 record and a co-MASCAC championship alongside UMass Dartmouth and Western Connecticut.
