Royal Train is a black and white silent short film shot in 1896 showing the royal train for the British Royal family arriving in Southampton Royal Pier Station in Southampton where many onlookers are watching as the train is pulling into the station.[1]
Synopsis
The 19 second long film shows the royal train for the British Royal Family carrying either Queen Victoria or a royal official into the Southampton Royal Pier Station where they are being met by a very large crowd of onlookers it is unknown who is on the train as the film itself is very undocumented with only a 25-foot fragment of cellulose nitrate film.[2]
