Tani Yuuki (たにゆうき, Tani Yuuki, born November 9, 1998) is a Japanese male singer-songwriter from Chigasaki, Kanagawa.

Early Life and Education

He started music activities in August 2015 after receiving an acoustic guitar from his grandfather when he was a junior high school student. In 2018, he joined became a member of the online Japanese musical group "WHITEBOX". He graduated from vocational school in March 2019.

Career

After that, he started posting songs mainly on SNS such as TikTok and YouTube, and "Myra" posted in May 2020 has gained a lot of support from teens. It became a big hit with the total number of streaming playbacks exceeding 100 million times[1][2]. In November 2022, he was nominated for the 'Best Newcomer Awards' during the 64th Japanese Record Awards (supported by the Japanese Composers Association)[3].

Tani Yuuki's 2022 album W/X/Y was a huge hit among Generation Z and achieved 270 million streaming playbacks on TikTok[4].
