Plot summary

Orion Pagan, a lifetime New Yorker, attends the Times Square-based inaugural ceremony for Death-Cast, a company that claims to predict the deaths of individuals. His adopted sister Dalma joins him. Valentino Prince moves from Arizona to New York City with his twin sister, Scarlett, planning to join him the following day. Valentino meets his cranky landlord, Frankie Dario, and Frankie's son Paz. He then goes to the ceremony in Times Square, where he meets Orion. Orion reveals to him that he has a fatal heart condition.
