Escape from Scorpion Island is a Bafta nominated BBC children's TV adventure game show in which ten contestants compete for three weeks to 'escape from an exotic island'. Series 3 was produced by Foundation/Freehand for CBBC and the Australian Broadcasting Corporation.[1][2]

Series three premiered on 9 March 2008 on ABC1.

This series are hosted by JK and Joel. All episodes in this series are thirty minutes long on weekdays at 5:00pm on ABC1. However in the UK. The Epsiodes will be weekly and last for 1 hour

Synopsis

There will be a new format and for the very first time 3 teams take on the Island: Claw, Sting and Venom with some very eviltwists. Series 3 will be broadcasted in March 2009 in Australia and April 2009 in the UK and USA. This series was filmed at Mission Beach in Far North Queensland (near Tully and Townsville) in 2008.

List of Challenges

Note: All episodes are based in Australian airing. UK episodes will be based on days.

Day 1 (Episode 1)

  • Arrival - All sixteen members arrive on Scorpion Island by either helicopter, sea plane or by scuba diving.
  • Talismans - All sixteen members are to find a talisman each. Each of them represents a colour that will determine the teams.
  • Lethal Lagoon - The very first challenge required all members to get three flags on a spider net and get to the finish line.
    • Reward - Oliver and the first island torch.

The first day at Scorpion Island and all sixteen members have landed on Scorpion Island ready to take part in the challenges that the island has waiting. The first task was to find a talisman that is located on the island. Only one of the talismans has a twist. That twist was fond by Oliver. Just as he was about to grab it on the beach, he fell and was kidnapped by the island.

The very first challenge happened and required all the members to grab their flags and get to the finish. Team Claw won the challenge after a great start with Team Sting just coming second. Team Venom had trouble from the start with Jeremy immediately falling. For Team Claw, not only did they win Oliver, they also gained an island torch which will be important for their final escape.
