The Eurasian Land-Bridge is the title of a proposal made by American economist and political activist Lyndon LaRouche in 1992. It has been promoted internationally by his wife, Helga Zepp LaRouche, and the organization she founded, the Schiller Institute.

There have been many proposals for trans-continental projects on the Eurasian land mass, including the famous Trans-Siberian Railroad. The LaRouche proposal is distinguished from other plans by two features in particular:

  • The emphasis on high-speed rail, especially mag-lev, as opposed to other modes of transportation such as highways;
  • The concept of development corridors, where rail lines are combined with oil and natural gas pipelines, water management, high-voltage electricity networks, and fiber-optic cables, fostering the development of new cities and economic regions along the way.
