DescriptionTurkestan.jpg
English: This is a photograph that I [Michael Hancock] took of the Mausoleum of Ahmad Yasavi which stands in Turkestan, Kazakhstan. Ahmad was born in the city of Sayram in 1103, and after his death was honored with a modest mausoleum. Amir Temur built this beautiful mausoleum, one of the largest in the world at its time. The large central blue dome is the largest in Central Asia.
