HYROX is a fitness competition founded by Moritz Fürste together with Christian Toetzke in 2017.[1][2]

History

Initially started in Germany, the competition has since expanded worldwide.[1] A network of Hyrox-affiliated gyms has also been established.[3]

Format

Every competition starts with a 1 km run, followed by one functional movement, and these two elements are repeated eight times.[4] To date, the 8 functional movements are SkiErg, Sled Push, Sled Pull, Burpee Broad Jump, Rowing, Farmers Carry, Sandbag Lunges, Wall Balls in this respective order.[5]
