Jake T. Austin (born Jake Austin Szymanski; December 3, 1994)[1] is an American actor who currently stars as Max Russo, the youngest of three wizards, on the Disney Channel Original Series, Wizards of Waverly Place.

Early life

Austin was born Jake Austin Szymanski[2] in New York City, the son of Gina Rodriquez Toranzo and Joe Szymanski.[2] His father is of Polish, Irish, and English descent and his mother is of Puerto Rican, Argentinian, and Spanish ancestry.[2][3][4]

Career

Austin now plays the role of Max Russo in the Disney Channel Original Series Wizards Of Waverly Place. He has also provided voices for the animated movies The Ant Bully and Everyone's Hero, and appeared in the Disney Channel Original Movie, Johnny Kapahala: Back on Board. He starred in The Perfect Game in 2010; Hotel for Dogs in 2009; and the Disney Channel Original Movie, Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie. In July 2009, he guest-starred on The Suite Life on Deck. He will appear in the film Rio and will be playing a lead role in Marvin the Martian in 2011.
