The league was initially scheduled to start in May 2021. == Controversies ==
The Kashmir Premier League<ref name=":8" /><ref name=":6" /> made headlines even before it had begun. He took to [[Twitter]] to reveal the news and said that, "I have decided not to participate in the KPL because of the political tensions between India and Pakistan over Kashmir issues.
