Richard Mann Allan (June 22, 1923 – September 6, 1999) was an American actor who was known for his appearance with Susan Hayward in With a Song in My Heart (1952), Ava Gardner in The Snows of Kilimanjaro (1952), and Marilyn Monroe in Niagara (1953).
Early life
Richard Mann Allan was born on June 22, 1923, in Jacksonville, Illinois, as the youngest child and son of the four children of Edna Mann (1893–1973), a dietitian, and Robert Howard Allan (1895–1958), a farmer. He had two brothers, Edward and Robert Howard Allan Jr. (1922–2009), and a sister, Catherine Allan. Allan started taking a dancing course at the age of seven.
Death
Allan died in Louisville, Kentucky, due to a lung cancer at the age of 76.[1] He was buried at Gillham Cemetery.
