The Surgut-2 Power Station is the largest oil-fired power station in the world,[1] with an installed capacity of 4,800 MW in 2009. Current expansion plan involves the construction of two 400 MW units by December 2010, costing nearly RUB 19 billion, which would increase the current capacity of 4,800 MW to 5,600 MW.[2]
