Hi to Ron and Dick from Jeff my fellow award winners. I won mine in 1976 at Ft. Sill, Ok., US ARMY FIELD ARTILLERY. I never received a ribbon or certificate that I remember. I do still have my coin. Well, that is up until this Christmas (2017). I just passed mine on to my grandson. Trey is a cadet at the US AIR FORCE Academy. I gave my grandson the award in the hope it helps him stay committed to the goals of this award while he becomes an officer in defence of our country. 41 years since I received mine, may he pass it on to his son or grandson. Proud to say I was considered worthy to receive this award.

I was awarded this medal at Chanute AFB in 1961. In the early 1980's my home was robbed and one of the items taken was the American Spirt Honor Medal. I have been trying to find a way to have it replaced, but am not having any luck. I have the ribbon and the certificate, but would like to get a replacement medal. Has anyone any idea how that can be accomplished. Thanks, Ron Casscles. Sequim Wa.

Ron, I recieved mine in 1968 at Ft Campbell KY. It too was lost. I carried if for two tours in Vietnam, and promptly lost it when I got home. I got lucky and found a medal trader who had two of them, and sold me one for $45.00. I would say to do some intensive searches of the medal trading world and see if there is one. I did manage to find the original supplier, casting company. The medals were struck by a company that relocated to Reno Nevada area, but they wanted $500.00 to locate (search for)the dies and strike no less than 30. I know you can get one, just keep your eyes open and good luck.Dickn52 (talk) 21:17, 1 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
