Awards and nomination section

Hello, Juhachi. I would like to hear your opinion about this section. NightShadow (talk) 23:42, 26 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I would be interested in knowing if there is a guideline which, as you stated, A separate section is needed only in the case when many awards. Failing that, it really comes down to personal preference and editorial discretion. Oftentimes, it is easier for someone to visually peruse a set of awards and nominations for something than to read about it in prose. In addition to that, information has been lost. The series was nominated in 5 categories in the Crunchyroll Anime Awards, but only won 1, but that doesn't mean those nominations should be removed entirely. In total, the table contained 2 awards and 8 nominations, which is not exactly what I would call trivial by any means. Yes, you could write something like "The series was also nominated at the 2019 Crunchyroll Anime Awards in the Anime of the Year, Best Protagonist, Best Director and Best Character Design categories", but as I said, it's easier to gleam this with a table, and also provides the infrastructure for any future nominations or awards the series, or upcoming films, could very well obtain. In all likelyhood, if that were to come to pass, the table would get restored either by me or someone else, so it's kinda pointless to remove it at this point in time because "it's too short".-- 23:57, 26 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I rely on examples from other articles: Made in Abyss (few awards, there are no tables); Your Name (many awards, there is a table). "the table contained 2 awards and 8 nominations" — Juhachi, the table contains 4 awards and 4 nominations. "provides the infrastructure for any future nominations or awards the series, or upcoming films, could very well obtain" — Okay, I returned the section and the table. There are 8 nominations, 4 of which resulted in winning a reward, and 4 of which did not.-- 11:11, 27 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Now I know what you mean. 2 awards — Kyoto Animation Awards and Crunchyroll Anime Awards. NightShadow (talk) 11:22, 27 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
