Neohumanistic education
Key Principles
According to P. R. Sarkar “education is that which liberates.” (Sá vidyá yá vimuktaye in Sanskrit). The Neohumanist philosophy therefore considers education of crucial importance for the proper development of the individual and society.
Neohumanist education is based on some key principles as settled out from Sarkar in his books:
* Education is for all-around liberation, physical, psychic and spiritual: the real meaning of education is trilateral and simultaneous development in the physical, mental and spiritual realms of human existence. This development aims to increase the integration of the human personality.
* Acquiring a proper Knowledge is a right and duty of humanity: the greatest obstacle in the collective progress of the human race is the ignorance of the individual mind. Knowledge is for all, it should be open and free.
* Freedom of teachers: governments may submit their [social] and political needs to the teachers, but the teachers should be free to accept or reject the governments’ proposals without interference.

Educational approach
* Universalistic approach: Sarkar stated that every "ism" is detrimental for the individual and social progress. Particularly He consider essential to apply the universalistic perspective of Neohumanism on the educationl dimension.

Neohumanist education pays particular attention to theacher's approach:
* First awaken the thirst for knowledge, then impart a proper education to quench that thirst. A thirst for knowledge must be awakened, and, to quench that thirst, proper education must be given. Only then will education be worthwhile and develop the body, mind and ideals of the student.
