Below are ideas I've seen floated since RFA2021 (or which were endorsed there for further refinement) for improving RfA that align with the consensus reached there. I am merely collecting these and do not necessarily agree with them.

Elections

Description

Use secret ballot to elect admins

Rationale

See comments from RFA2021 (the close of which was technically overturned to no consensus but which does not change the sense that further refinement may make this a viable proposal)

Temporary adminship

Description

Allow a candidate to request adminship for a limited period of time (1 year?)

Abolish neutral votes

Description

Eliminate the neutral section

Rationale

These !votes provide little value, serving either as comments which could go in general discussion, placeholders which could just be ommitted, or closeted opposes which could either go there or just not be said.

Rename RfA to VfA

Description

Rename Requests for Adminship to Volunteers for Adminship

Rationale

Recenters the volunteer and sense of volunteerism at the heart of the discussion
