Let us now introduce the subject of our story a young man named Bert from Calcutta. Well, he wasn't originally from Calcutta - that city isn't noted for producing many 6 feet 2 inches (1.88 m) blonde-haired Nordic-looking young gentlemen, although in this age of increased diversity it is probably more common than it was in the 1950s. You may be wondering why I introduced him as a young man if he was young in the 1950s? Well, that is the truly extraordinary thing about Bert - he never aged. As far as anyone knew he had been about 18 years old for millennia. Certainly he tells tales of glorious summers in Ancient Carthage, not that he refers to it as Ancient as it wasn't at the time. There is more to tell about Bert, but not here and not now, you will just have to tune in later.
