Cranger Kirmes

The Cranger Kirmes is a fair in Germany. It´s located in Wanne-Eickel in the city of Herne and happen every year 10 days long from the first friday in August. It´s with 4,7 million visitors the second biggest fair in Germany, only the Oktoberfest in Munich is with around 6 million visitors bigger. So it´s the biggest fair in the Ruhr Area and in the whole country of Northrhine-Westphalia. Unlike the other big fairs in Germany it has a relative little fairground and so it´s often very full of people, especially in the evenings.
