[[User_talk:NewsAndEventsGuy#External_link_spamming_by_97.87.29.188|This particular user is a well known Michigan sock.]] See also, [[User:Arthur_Rubin/IP_list|this list of IPs used by this sock]]. They are fresh from a 30-day block for external link spamming. They cruise news and post links, but don't edit, or if they do edit, it is token meaningless edits to try to look like edits but without really improving anything. They just want to deflect the charge of external link spamming. Ironically, I'm interested and enjoy most of the stuff that gets posted by this user. But that does not change the fact that spam is spam is spam. Even when I agree with its gist most of the time. |
