Cmach, you need to start providing sources for your contributions. For weeks now you have been adding odd dates to List of Renaissance composers and List of Medieval composers, and have ignored our multiple attempts to get you to discuss them. Where are you getting these? The verifiability policy is not optional; everything you add to Wikipedia has to be from a reliable source. More concerning are your recent additions, such as Jion de Jordan -- unless you provide the source for this information, it seems to be a hoax. Is it? Where did you get the information on this alleged troubadour? Talk to us! I will have no choice but to block you -- and your two IPs, 101.160.148.192 and 24.209.139.161, unless you start giving sources. I do not want to block you. I want you to start giving sources. November 2011

Hi, where are you getting your dates from on Renaissance composers? You just made van Wilder 103 years old. Nothing on Japart survives from before 1476 -- the earliest record is a pay notice in the Milan chapel on 4 July -- and Obrecht's 1457/8 date is from his known age at death (38). I want to make sure you're not using an out-of-date source. Thanks, Antandrus (talk) 23:29, 18 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

What evidence do you have that Johannes Cornago lived to be 105 years old? Come on now; I'm willing to assume good faith, but up to a point. Thank you, Antandrus (talk) 01:07, 19 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

What is your source that Leonin was born in 1135? Would you please stop ignoring messages on your talk page; we need to know where you are getting your dates. Some of them have been corrections, but some are quite mysterious. We're trying to get it right. Thank you, Antandrus (talk) 02:31, 22 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize pages by deliberately introducing incorrect information, you may be blocked from editing. -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 06:41, 25 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Question

PLEASE answer my question -- where are you getting your dates for birth/death of musicians? Some of them are clearly nonsense; sometimes you get them right. Unless you provide a source I'm going to start removing your edits as disruptive, since it appears you are deliberately compromising the quality of our encyclopedia. How did you know that Khosrovidukht was born on 4 January and died on 9 December? Where are you getting these? You don't want to be blocked from editing, do you? Blocked

I've blocked you for repeated and persistent addition of invented birth and death dates for composers. This was the last straw -- the exact birthdate of Josquin is not known. The 1445 date was a speculation that endured until the 1980s, but no one has ever proposed "January 4". Antandrus (talk) 01:40, 12 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
