Welcome!

Hello, Almatinets, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on discussion pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{helpme}} before the question. Again, welcome!

Hey Almatinets, thankyou for registering. The main problem was the completely false naval entries; as far as I know, there are no Kazakh frigates/destroyers on the Caspian Sea, and there are certainly no Tarawa class amphibious assault ships. The other additions had no citations. Please feel free to readd if you readd citations - we're more strict that Russian wikipedia on this. Buckshot06 (talk) 20:21, 13 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your message. In accordance with WP:Verifiability, all statements should be linked to WP:Reliable Sources. My WP:RS is the 2007 edition of the Military Balance, which lists only 10 small patrol boats. No Tarawas are in discussion to be sold - anywhere - they've never been exported, least of all to Kazakhstan. (How would they be transported there?) Please edit this page so it reflects facts, not imagination. Buckshot06 (talk) 19:51, 14 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
See this page from NVO for a 2010 update - 9 patrol boats!: http://nvo.ng.ru/concepts/2010-10-22/1_osk.html. Buckshot06 (talk) 20:28, 14 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Cold War has been reverted.
Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. I removed the following link(s): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yu6yaNFjklE. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. a sound or video file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy and therefore probably should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 13:38, 27 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page Cold War do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used as a platform for advertising or promotion, and doing so is contrary to the goals of this project. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia.

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Cold War. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. --HXL's Roundtable, and Record 14:11, 27 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Cold War. Users who edit disruptively or refuse to collaborate with others may be blocked if they continue. In particular the three-revert rule states that making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period is almost always grounds for an immediate block. If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the talk page to discuss controversial changes. Work towards wording and content that gains consensus among editors. If unsuccessful, then do not edit war even if you believe you are right. Post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If edit warring continues, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. This is your last warning; the next time you insert a spam link, as you did at Cold War, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted, preventing anyone from linking to them from all Wikimedia sites as well as potentially being penalized by search engines.
