Wiki help

{{adminhelp}} As I remember I'd registrated with ' igorp_lj' login name. Why is it really converted to ' Igorp lj ' one consisting of two parts an who may help me to rerun to my choice?

You'll notice in your address bar that this page is shown as "User_talk:Igorp_lj" - when you registered your account, Mediawiki interpreted the underscore as a space, because that's how it handles them from URLs. When you log in, it shouldn't make any difference if you add the underscore or not. Hersfold ^(t/a/c) 22:06, 16 July 2009 (UTC)

Not an admin, but what you can do is change your signature so that it shows up as you want it. Click on the "my preferences" link at the top right of the screen and in the user profile tab write igorp_lj in the text box for Signature. Do not check the box below. Click save and from now on whenever you sign it will show igorp_lj as your name. It wont change the address though. nableezy - 23:56, 31 July 2009 (UTC)

Problem with Wikipedia:Emailing users

In Wikipedia:Help desk/Archives/2014 April 11#Problem with Wikipedia:Emailing users you didn't mention you mail provder but if it's Yahoo then you are probably hit by the problem at Wikipedia:Village pump (technical)/Archive 125#Wikipedia email not working when I send but works when others send to me. It's also mentioned at DMARC#History. We may have to update our email help pages. Some mail providers still allow Yahoo mail from other servers than Yahoo's own. My Danish mail provider may be one of them. My advice is still to try another mail provider, especially if you have Yahoo. PrimeHunter (talk) 10:05, 24 April 2014 (UTC)

Yes I do, I use Yahoo. I have to think how to arrange this passing. May be I'll try to make test pass to other email provider before.

In Rabin Pre-Military Academy#References, I'm removing your remark embedded in the citation of a Jerusalem Post article of March 19, 2009:

That was what Zamir wrote in 1990, reprinted in 2004. The testimonies of the soldiers that he brought to the public's attention seem to corroborate - what a coincidence - his thesis.
