Good Morning/Evening. I'm getting in touch with you to ask for your help regarding the page that you nominated for deletion [[Mahmoud Shoolizadeh]]. I wanted to bring up several reasons why it should stay. I had originally created the article 14 years ago (in the first few years of wikipedia's life!) and so I'm not active enough anymore here to notice the nomination until it was too late. Yes as you correctly mentioned the subject is my father but I have disclosed that information at every location and have been fully transparent, and the page had been updated many times by many other users not just myself so to be nominated only on the basis of conflict of interest is not right. Also, he was nominated partly because of limited information in farsi websites regarding him, however that is because he is currently only active in the United States, with limited to no connection to Iran. The page had close to 100 references I think, all of which are in English. I'd like to state that he has been published in Florida Times Union, his films have won awards at several international Film Festivals including the Mediterranean Film Festival in Cannes (yes, Cannes!) France, Taormina Film Festival in Italy, Great Lakes festival in Michigan USA, among others in Germany, Japan, and others. He was and currently is a Judge at several film festivals including in Europe and the USA. There is an extensive profile on him on the IMDb website. If needed I can provide references to all of above points or if the deleted page is still viewable then they are available there. He is a fellow Azeri-Iranian who after emigration to the US has become a great source of pride in the Iranian American community, even if he is still not well known in farsi sources. I really need your help on this. Is there any way we can restore or revisit the deletion question? I also like to point out that there was no real consensus reached after a month, as there was only two "weak delete" votes. He has won a long list of international awards, one of his newer films [[Susan (film)]] here on wikipedia has a list of awards won by that film alone, along with 35 references. His oldest award winning film [[Noora]] is from 2002 from before the days of common internet so limited references but also lists the awards. There are also the pages for [[The Prisoner (2013 film)]] and [[The Lover (2016 film)]] both pages with listed awards and references to the relevant festival websites. The [[WP:ARBCOM|Arbitration Committee]] is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the [[Wikipedia:Arbitration|Wikipedia arbitration process]]. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose [[WP:BAN|site bans]], [[WP:TBAN|topic bans]], editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment.
