Saint Pancake
Per WP:REDIRECT#KEEP, there is not reason to redirect from Saint Pancake to Rachel Corrie. While "saint pancake" may indeed disparage Corrie (who is not a living person), it is also an absolutely POV alternate name critiquing her and her actions. Nothing links to it, so someone has to search for Saint Pancake to find the redirect. Jclemens (talk) 17:45, 30 January 2009 (UTC)

Talk directed specifically to me will be kept and archived when I feel like it. Spam (the same thing posted on the talk pages of multiple Wikipedians) will be read but eventually deleted.

Hi, just wanted to say that I didn't mean to revert your edit when I reverted Amunoz tico's - that was a mistake, but why did you remove the word "free" anyway? I note you edit summary "not needed -- what does it mean anyway?" but I think it's fairly clear what "free" means. Essentially, Home is free, it's only the extras that cost a fortune and this is explained in the main article. It doesn't really matter, I was just curious. And your edit summary describing my revert sounded quite strong. Please remember assume good faith. Cheers. ChimpanzeeUK - User | Talk | Contribs 09:53, 12 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Non admin closure

Please be careful of snowball closing discussions that have any discussion of deletion, merge, or renaming per WP:NAC. Cheers GtstrickyTalk or C 14:41, 16 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Iraqi shoe hurler

A tag has been placed on Iraqi shoe hurler, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding hangon to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. TehPh1r3 (talk) 22:20, 19 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Your note on Jimbo's talk page about votes

Hi Mike. We understand that they are votes, but for the purposes of Wikipedia, we refer to them as !votes or (not)votes, since by the definition of meta.wikimedia.org, voting is evil. We're simply trying to make Jimbo realise that this is a straw poll, but it shows the view of the community, being over 40% of us don't want Flagged Revisions implementing. Thanks for dropping in on the conversation though :) The more who read it, the better. Thor Malmjursson (talk) 18:35, 17 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Harris Smith

A tag has been placed on Harris Smith requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the article or have a copy emailed to you. freshacconci talktalk 14:53, 18 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
