Steiner

Hi. I see you removed Scott Steiner of the Impact Roster. I recommend to watch the article, since there is a user who includes him just because he made guest appearences. --HHH Pedrigree (talk) 12:55, 18 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@HHH Pedrigree: Sounds good, yeah he is almost 60 years old and has not wrestled with them since April of last year. Defenitly not on a active contract. STATic message me! 22:32, 18 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I think like you. Rosters are for regular wrestlers. Steiner made an appearance two weeks ago. But he makes one appearance every 6 months, that's not regular and he is not under contract, like The Undertaker or Lesnar, for example. --HHH Pedrigree (talk) 22:59, 18 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Tagging

Alright fair enough, I won't remove tags unless they've been addressed. MPJ-DK (talk) 04:02, 22 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Guevara tagging

Hi there, I am trying to figure out what relevant information is missing on Sammy Guevara's MLW stint? He had 4-5 matches, all losses, no storylines and nothing notable. Why is it tagged for "Expansion"? Honestly, his MLW stint is so trivial it should just be part of the "independent circuit". An article should not contain a match-by-match listing of all activities, it should recap significant information. MPJ-DK (talk) 23:35, 2 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@MPJ-DK: The article is tiny, it's practically a stub. It needs expansion in general. He had progression and was involved in storylines on the show. You cannot keep saying that certain wrestlers were not in notable angles/matches if you do not follow the show or wrestling news. Sammy was involved in angles and MLW is the most mainstream promotion in the US he has worked with. I do not see how that is trival. There is always more to write. Again, maintenance templates are not a bad thing. Please be civil, I'm using my time just like you to make Wikipedia a better place, nothing we could do is "unproductive". STATic message me! 01:05, 3 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
He was in 5 matches, lost four and then MLW stopped using him. What significant work did he do in MLW? I left the AAA tag, that I can see - but adding it for MLW just invites people to put in overly detailed, match by match breakdown for something that in the scope of his career is nothing but a minor blip on the radar now that he's left the company. If he was still with them I would leave the tag alone. And can you please quote where I am uncivil? Asking a question when I do not understand the motivation behind a tag is not uncivil, it's asking a question, if you can stand behind your edits I don't see how it's a problem to answer a simple question? MPJ-DK (talk) 01:43, 3 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Also - nothing wrong with an article being tiny if there is not a lot of notable content.MPJ-DK (talk) 01:44, 3 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry for the three-peat. What exactly do you think is missing from the MLW section? MPJ-DK (talk) 01:45, 3 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@MPJ-DK: Calling good faithed maintenance tagging "unproductive" in your original section title is pretty uncivil. As I stated in my edit summary he had two notable storylines. He came into the promotion with Salina De La Renta as he manager, following a loss she fired him from her stable on a later episode. Sammy was then upset about this. He later returned being presented by Konnan as AAA's cruiserweight champion and then begun to be managed by Konnan. This would involve him slightly in MLW's main storyline at the time (Salina vs Konnon). This is not mentioned in the article and this was his most high profile angle on the show. I didn't want to type out a description of their storyline but you asked what's missing.. STATic message me! 02:00, 3 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
So what is "productive" about it? What has the tagging actually achieved? You could have spent 5 minutes putting that in the article instead of just stating "oh someone else needs to do this", hence labeling it as unproductive. Also pushing for overly detailed recap of what in the big picture of Guevara's career has amounted to nothing is also not productive, there are a lot of wrestling articles out there that already suffer from "detail overload" to a large degree, encouraging others to add this level of fan-ish detail to more articles is not productive. MPJ-DK (talk) 02:12, 3 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@MPJ-DK: "You should have done it" is not an argument, why would we have maintenance templates then? We're not talking about the big picture, we are talking about the storylines in the said promotion that formed a significant part of his career. You will find details of matches and storylines in any GA or FA BLP. This does not qualify as weekly events so you have no backing to your point. You asked me to explain what you were missing so I did, I do not expect everything I typed to be put in the article which should have been clear based on my response. STATic message me! 02:22, 3 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Well technically "it is an argument", I made it, and in response to "why do we have maintenance templates" I offer the question "Why do we all have the ability to edit articles"? We fundamentally disagree on this, but as long as the tagging on your part is not to encourage the addition of minor, obscure details I have and will continue to leave them in place. And 5 matches over 1 year is "significant"? the height of "significance" was, by your own words, "involve him slightly" in a totally different story. Like I said if he was in MLW I would have left it, the potential for more, but now? Over and insignificant to his career. And good, there is no backing for "weekly events", which is cool - and not actually an argument I made. I will keep considering it "unproductive" until someone can actually show me what was produced by your edits, since you haven't yourself. MPJ-DK (talk) 02:45, 3 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

MLW

Hello. Yes, the reddit/In wrestling thing was a nightmare. I didn't give my two cents, but I udnerstand the reason. I think the In wrestling section was a nightmare, I tried to keep it sourced and in shape, but was horrible (things like one time moves, the nicknames...). My personal opinion is we're fuck XD. Admins didn't like the project since we have too much kayfabe and In universe stuff. Fans didn't like us since they think we are to serious and follow too much rules. It's the same behaviour I found in the Impact roster. I will try to include the people in the article. --HHH Pedrigree (talk) 12:10, 3 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

A kitten for you!

Nice talking to you

@IndianBio: Yes I remember the name. Glad your still here trying to help out :) STATic message me! 22:56, 5 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Hey there. I hadn’t seen you were back until just now. Glad to see you active again, I’ve always appreciated your efforts around the project. See you around. Sergecross73 msg me 00:31, 15 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
User: Sergecross73, thank you for the kind words! It is funny I saw your name pop up a few days ago and I remembered all the sockpuppets haha. Crazy it has been about 5 years. StaticVapor message me! 00:59, 15 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding change on Dash Wilder page

You cited the reference i used as unreliable. CageSideSeats is reliable, even referenced by WWE themselves a couple of times. I know it's a fan blog, but as long as weekly episodic results go, i think they're quite reliable. If there is any other mistake on my part, kindly do tell me. Cheers!! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Partheshmittal (talkcontribs) 05:35, 13 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Partheshmittal:, according to WP:PW/RS that's the Wikiproject on professional wrestling, it is an unreliable source. Due to WP:V and WP: BLP we like to use only reliable sources for our articles especially for articles about people. StaticVapor message me! 03:19, 14 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@StaticVapor - I understand your point, thank you for clarifying. Partheshmittal (talk) 03:29, 14 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

User: Partheshmittal no problem, have fun editing and check out Wikiproject Pro Wrestling. StaticVapor message me! 01:01, 15 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Unsorted Content

How am I using unsorted content ?? If so how do I do it because I wanna help out with wrestling related content on here. — Preceding unsigned comment added by BluE EaZY (talkcontribs) 04:42, 18 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

User: BluE EaZY anytime you add any content to Wikipedia you need to cite a reliable source. You didn't do that here, here and here. Your block just ended for doing the same thing and it doesn't need to happen again. This edit also was unnecessary. We do not state what move they won the match with, it's trival. You did that to quite a few articles. So check out these will help you:

Damolisher

Well, as you can see, this user is a pain. Since he reverted the edition several times, clearly doesn't know about WP bacis policies and opposes to learn them and the project is under general sanctions and was warned several times before (including a general sanction on september 17, 2018), I think you can ask for a ban. --HHH Pedrigree (talk) 10:28, 18 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

HHH Pedrigree I tried to explain it to him on the article talk page and his talk page, no luck. He has a final warning for WP:OR, if he reverts he will be up for blocking. StaticVapor message me! 10:31, 18 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I tried to explain it several times in the talk page and his talk page. Result, insulst saying be are beaurocrats. --HHH Pedrigree (talk) 10:34, 18 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • I'm* a pain. This coming from someone who continues hovering around pages relating to a product he STILL doesn't watch, STILL refuses to make helpful edits on and STILL tries to bully other users on. Again- prove me wrong. You're literally stating bureaucracy overrides fact. Tell ya what: I'll leave Ace and Sawyer off until the respective episodes air, and if it turns out I'm right, you two can post an apology each on my page and stop harassing me every time I add someone to the Impact Roster page, cool?
