PROTESTING DOUBLE STANDARD OF USER:BISHONEN AND OTHER ADMINS

I am writing this here to PROTEST the blatant, hypocritical, two faced policy of User:Bishonen and most of the other admins here who have made a total sham out of wikipedia's NPOV policy for their own personal agendas.

Whenever any militant anti-Christian editor shows up spouting insults, invective and blasphemy at the Christian faith and fellow editors who are of the Christian faith, it seems the militant editor is magically protected by the establishment here no matter what he says or does.

But let any editor wince, blink, or say "boo" back to the militant anti-Christian editor and guess who gets immediately perma-banned? That's right, the one who responds to the magically protected militant anti-Christian editor.

I found this out the hard way several times - the militant anti-Christian editors here are definitely held to a much LOWER standard, and anyone responding to them is held to a much more rigid HIGHER STANDARD, where anything they say can and will be used against them.

In final conclusion, I think the rest of the world is well aware by now that en.wikipedia has become an overrated travesty, administratively controlled by special interest groups who represent about only 1.7% of the world's elite; and the formerly successful NPOV policy is now a meaningless joke, as is User:Jimbo Wales original vision of having an encyclopedia written by and for the average person. Soviet-style intolerance for any dissent has become Wikipedia's most recognizable trademark, so much so that I have no expectation my thoughts will even be permitted to remain visible here.

For my part, whenever I get a chance I will do my best to inform people, in person or using social media, about my experiences with English wikipedia. It's not like English wikipedia doesn't already have the reputation it deserves with most people, but reputations do spread in mysterious ways as a result of your attitude and your actions.

Discussion of possible translation of Ethiopian biblical texts

I thought you might be interested in the discussion at User talk:Jimmy Wales#Potential WMF collaborations?, and might even maybe be in a position to know some entities which might be able and/or interested in perhaps funding some translations into English or one of the other major UN languages of some of the exclusively Ethiopian biblical texts, and, maybe, perhaps later, any other classic texts of Ethiopian or African literature. John Carter (talk) 20:35, 19 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Yes User:John Carter, I have translated and published Ethiopian Biblical texts but cannot participate there unless you can get me unblocked! Til Eulenspiegel /talk/ 00:33, 20 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I am not an admin anymore and cannot see how I can get anyone unblocked, unfortunately. But, if you know of any officials in the EOC who might know someone who can provide funding for such translations, that would be very useful. Also, I think, if you wanted to place the translations on Wikisource, maybe with the original texts as well (which I doubt I will be able to read myself) that might get us a bit closer to that. I actually have started a rather disgustingly long list of some of the sources I would love to see added to wikisource at wikisource:User:John Carter, including all the texts of the variant forms of the Bible. If you had any interest in helping there, I don't think the block here would necessarily extend there. Maybe. Like I said, I'm not an admin any longer and that makes it harder for me to check such. oh, my English translations of Meqabyan I, II, III are commercially available and not available for wikisource... Til Eulenspiegel /talk/ 01:05, 20 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know of anyone else but me nowadays who has published and can do this sort of translation. But if you ever run across someone willing to pay for it, you need to let ME know! since it would be me doing the workTil Eulenspiegel /talk/ 13:31, 20 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
