The Brooklyn Nets Arena article is a stub. Very little info on the page is about the arena. Most of it is about the contoversey surrounding the Atlantic Yards project, which the arena is a part of. Milchama 21:11, 15 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Junky hasn't responded with his defense for deleting the Cruiser Ride section of the Boulder, Colorado article. Is there some sort of timeframe for the resolution, or can you restore it? I believe it meets the Wikipedia guidelines for being noteworthy. 24.8.179.172 06:28, 16 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

What Spamming Are You Talking About?

Piano on the Net is a free online service that teaches piano, music, and jazz lessons. It is the original Free Online Piano and Music Lesson course established online in February of 1994. Piano on the Net has won many awards and has been featured on the NBC Nightly News (June 1998), CNN (October 1997), and in WebMaster (now CIO) Magazine (August 1997).

your message about a link to the virtualtoychest

Hello,

I first heard about wikipedia from the logs on the virtualtoychest. A fair number of visitors were being directed to the site from links that were placed on wikipedia by other users. The virtualtoychest is one of the largest toy sites on the net I thought that it would be helpful to direct people to it from appropriate pages. Thus I posted a link from the LJN page. I believe that such posts are appropriate, as our site is the only site on the net with information about many of these toy series, and has many exclusive photos.

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Wlvi_cw_tv.PNG)

Thanks for uploading Image:Wlvi_cw_tv.PNG. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. MECUtalk 03:27, 20 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Community ban for BenH?

It's obvious BenH has no intention of responding to the RfC ... as someone who's had to fix at least two of his "edits," I'm under the assumption that he's under a community ban. Hoping to get it formalized. Would appreciate your support ...Blueboy96 21:09, 23 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:WSFLCW.png

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:WSFLCW.png. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. After Midnight 0001 20:30, 30 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

WADL

We have heard about how anyone can give inaccurate information. The station is big in the community and it appears that the very least we can do is to ensure what they have done right. Every station changes line ups. I can't imagine why anyone would keep putting outdated information on the site from May whenever they feel like it. I would like to have a free thinking forum for this. I do understand these people don't have ABC, but they do good work with informing the city , of heat banks, school supplies, food, free medical. And it is the only full station in Detroit that has an African American as the President. I dont want to feel this is why the staion is being viewed unfairly but to continue to replace updated info with what was on in May is not right.

Can we get a project going that will update the information and stop it from going back to the few lines that are incorrct. Also on the radio today it was said of the old programs listed that someone keeps changing it. They can be fined when someone goes back to what was on here in May. it is a problem. Maybe this is a research project for the Wiki Community. The Detroit community calls in on radio and is furous. It could give Wiki a bad rap because it almost appears personal . Lets do a community page in the true spirit of fair and impartial information.. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mediawatcher2005 (talkcontribs) 20:09, August 14, 2007

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. New deal for page patrollers

Hi Whomp,

In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created.

Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most current experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work.

Find out more about this exiting new user right now at New Page Reviewers and be sure to read the new tutorial before applying. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 04:29, 13 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
