Masturband

Recommendation is to delete redirect. The "Masturband" is currently listed in the Human Sexuality Article Index. However, it redirects to "Wristband". The Wristband article no longer has any information related to "Masturband" or any other human sexuality topic. In addition, I have been researching human sexuality related articles for a number of years. A while back, I saw the term "Masturband" used as a derogatory or humorous reference to the various wristband trends (e.g., the brightly colored wristbands that indicate the person supports a particular charity). However, I can not find any verifiable references for the exact derogatory usage of the term, probably because it is rare and out-of-date. There is one post in UrbanDictionary.com with limited information, and references to masturbation slang. Other than that, the term "Masturband" seems to have faded out of all usage sometime in 2007-2008. I really do not think a redirect to "Wristband" is appropriate at this time. With regard to the stats for this item, it should be noted that there are other things called "Masturband", including a musical band. These are totally unrelated to this redirect or the original Masturband article, which was deleted. APatcher (talk) 06:33, 30 December 2011 (UTC)
