Winfried Hassemer

Winfried Hassemer (Born 17 February of 1940 in Gau-Algesheim) is a German criminal law scientist and vice-president of the Federal Constitutional Court. Hassemer was first, from 1964 to 1969 a scientific assistant at the Institut for laws and social philosophy of the university of Saarland. He is married with Kristiane Weber Hassemer, the chairmen judge of a criminal senate at the higher regional court of Frankfurt/Main and chairmen of national ethics advice of Germany. His brother Volker Hassemer was a senator in Berlin.
