Árni Páll Árnason (born 23 May 1966) is an Icelandic politician who served in the government of Iceland as Minister of Social Affairs from 10 May 2009 to 2 September 2010 and as Minister of Business Affairs from 2 September 2010 to 31 December 2011. He has served as a Member of Parliament for the Social Democratic Party since 2007 and was elected party leader in February 2013.
Born in Reykjavik, he received a law degree from the University of Iceland in 1991 and a postgraduate degree in European law from the College of Europe, where he studied from 1991 to 1992 (Mozart Promotion). He became an attorney in 1997.[1]
