Šobec Campground is a name of campsite located two kilometers south of E61 highway in the vicinity of Lesce town.

The campsite is lying next to the Šobec pond. That is the small artificial lake which was created by impoundment of a few inflows beneath the upper river terrace on which lies the southern part of Lesce town. The elevation of the pond is 421 meters (1381 feet). Its surface is 2,6 hectares, the deepest point is 3 meters. The pond has the ellipse shape, it extends in north - south direction. The pond was named after the Šobec farm, which stands in its vicinity.[1]

The campsite near the pond is lying in the pine forest next to the Sava Dolinka river. With a surface of more than 15 hectares it is considered to be in the higher category campsites. During the winter the campsite is closed but it is nevertheless regularly visited by the people from all Europe, because it is popular starting point for hiking around the Gorenjska region.
