005 is a 1981 arcade game by Sega, in which the player's mission is to take a briefcase of secret documents to a waiting helicopter. It is one of the first examples of a stealth game.[1][2][3] The player controls a spy who must avoid the enemies as he makes his way through buildings and warehouses, where he will have to dodge the enemies' flashlights and use boxes as hiding spots.[4]
Arcade cabinet
The game came in a fairly generic wood-grain panel cabinet. The sticker sideart was optional, which made it easy to change the games around when necessary. The game boards were Sega G80 compatible, and will work in any such cabinet. As with most early Sega titles, the monitor is vertically mounted. The bezel around the monitor sported the standard instructions; the marquee showed a "005" logo and a flashlight.
Official world record
Gamer Dwayne Richard holds the official world record for this game with a maximum possible 1,500,000 points.[5]
