The 1962-63 UCLA basketball team was coached by John Wooden in his 15th year. The Bruins finished tied for 1st in the AAWU (8–5), and accepted a bid for the 1963 NCAA Tournament. The Bruins lost in their first game to Arizona State (79-93). UCLA won ten of the next thirteen national championships.
