The Korea Professional Football League 1986 was fourth season of top football league in South Korea. The Korea Professional Football League was introduced for this season, having been previously known as the Korean Super League.

This season was total 6 teams are participated in the league. Five of them are professional teams (Yukong Elephants, Daewoo Royals, POSCO Atoms, Lucky-Goldstar Hwangso and Hyundai Horang-i) and one amateur team (Hanil Bank). Hallelujah FC which founded as a 1st professional football club changed amateur status and withdrew the league simultaneously. Also Sangmu that amateur army team was withdrew the league, but Hanil Bank was remained the league.

League began 2 March 1986 and ended 16 November 1986. Season was operated its season in two stages, every teams are played each other in each stage, with the winners of each stage to the post-season championship playoffs. Between first stage and second stage, Korea Professional Football Championship that only professional teams participated competition was held from May to September.
