The '''2009 May Day protests''' are an ongoing series of international protests taking place across [[Europe]] and [[Asia]] in protest at the [[Global financial crisis of 2008–2009|current global economic crisis]]. Several [[May Day]] marches, which are traditional events, have turned violent in [[Germany]], [[Greece]] and [[Turkey]] as riot police battle protesters in their respective countries.
