200 Amsterdam is a residential skyscraper planned for the Upper West Side in Manhattan.[1] The lot was formerly occupied by a synagogue.[2]

When announced, it would have been the tallest building on the Upper West Side upon completion, but 50 West 66th Street will be taller if completed as planned.[3]

Opposition

Construction of the building has faced opposition from local groups.[4] The project was successfully stalled, but New York City Department of Buildings eventually lifted the hold on construction.[5]
