The 2016–17 Arizona State Sun Devils men's basketball team represents Arizona State University during the 2016–17 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Sun Devils will be led by second year head coach Bobby Hurley, and play their home games at Wells Fargo Arena in Tempe, Arizona. They are members of Pac–12 Conference.

Previous season

The 2015–16 Arizona State Sun Devil's finished the season 5–13 in the conference, and a 15–17 overall record to finish in 11th place. The Sun Devils lost in the first round of the Pac-12 Tournament.
