The United States Air Force's 609th Air Operations Center (609 AOC) is a unit located at Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar.[1]

Mission

  • To provide command and control of air and space operations in the CENTCOM AOR.[1]
  • To release an Air Tasking Order (ATO) daily in support of the guidance passed down by the CFACC.[1]

History

The 609 AOC was constituted and activated as 609 Air Operations Group on 1 Jan 1994. The unit was later redesignated as 609 Air and Space Operations Center on 1 Mar 2008.[1]
