The Hailemariam and Roman Foundation (Template:Lang-gez) is a non-profit organization based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.[2][3] The foundation was established in April 2018 by former Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn and former First Lady Roman Tesfaye. The foundation's programs are focused on improving the health and nutrition of young children and mothers, as well as transforming the tourism[4] and conservation of selected national parks in the most remote areas of Ethiopia.[5][6][7]

Co-founder, Hailemariam Desalegn, said the foundation will give priority to Afar, Southern Nations, Nationalities, and Peoples' Region, Benishangul-Gumuz and Gambella states.[8]

We envision seeing “a healthy and economically empowered community in a well conserved environment.”

— H.E. Mr. Hailemariam Dessalegn, and the Former First Lady of Ethiopia, H.E. Mrs. Roman Tesfaye

To realize our vision of a healthy and economically empowered community in a well conserved environment, we will focus on maternal and child health and nutrition by promoting prevention and integrated delivery of life-saving services.

— H.E. Mrs. Roman Tesfaye, Former First Lady of Ethiopia

Honored to be in the Global Steering Committee of Campaign for Nature – calling on governments to invest in nature & protect at least 30% of the planet’s land and ocean by 2030.

— H.E Hailemariam Dessalegn, Former Prime Minister of Ethiopia
