Pleurosoma is a monotypic moth genus in the subfamily Arctiinae described by Orfila in 1935. Its single species, Pleurosoma angustata, was first described by Heinrich Benno Möschler in 1877. It is found in Guatemala, Panama, Suriname and Venezuela.[1][2]
