Yenikənd (Yenikend) or Norshen (Armenian: Նորշեն) is a village de jure in the Khojavend District of Azerbaijan, de facto in the Martuni Province of the self-proclaimed Republic of Artsakh. The village's name means "new village" in both Armenian and Azerbaijani. The village has an ethnic Armenian-majority population, and also had an Armenian majority in 1989.[1] The village had 372 inhabitants in 2005.[2]
