Mayar is a well-known village and union council in Mardan District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.[1] It is located in the NE of Mardan city.

"Mayar is known for its agriculture land people of the village are mostly farmers its famous for its people and familys high cast pashtuns living for hundreds years which includes sub tribes of yousafzai amokhel, khankhels,sadikhel,akakhel, rawanikhel,manikhel,kamalzai,and many others this area of mardan introduced many politician like Abdul Ghaffar khan, ubaidullah khan Mayar, himayatullah mayar who served district nazim, member National and provincial Assemblies mardan and the area has number of schools and colleges people of the village are mostly educated and serving country in various positions.
