Brooks Thompson (born June 13, 2002) is an American professional soccer player who plays for Sporting Kansas City in MLS.

Career

Thompson spent two years with the IMG Academy, as well as appearing for USL PDL side Derby City Rovers[1][2] and the Sporting Kansas City academy,[3] before signing a professional contract with Sporting's USL Championship side Swope Park Rangers on March 7, 2019.[4]

He made his professional debut on July 17, 2019, starting in a 4–3 win over Hartford Athletic.[5] In Thompson's fourth appearance, he was named to the USL Championship Week 6 Team of the Week after recording his first ever shutout in a 1-0 win over the Indy Eleven on August 1, 2020.[6]

On January 20, 2021, Thomspon signed with Kansas City's MLS roster as a homegrown player.[7]
