Orchestre de chambre de Paris
The Orchestre de chambre de Paris, formerly Ensemble orchestral de Paris, is a French chamber orchestra created in 1978.
History
Created in 1978, the Orchestre de chambre de Paris is composed of 43 permanent musicians and is considered one of Europe’s foremost chamber orchestras. The german conductor and pianist Lars Vogt has been Music Director since 2020.[1] The Concertmaster is Deborah Nemtanu.
For the 2020-2021 season the polish conductor Marzena Diakun and the german violinist Christian Tetzlaff are members of the artistic team, as well as the young composer Clara Olivares. The orchestra performs throughout Paris with concerts at the Philharmonie de Paris, where it is a resident ensemble, at Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, Théâtre du Châtelet, Opéra Comique, as well as other venues in proximity to the metropolitan population, in addition to developing numerous international tours.[2]
