The First Lady is the eighth studio album by American country music singer-songwriter Tammy Wynette . It was released on October 5, 1970, by Epic Records .[ 3] [ 4]
The album peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Country Albums chart. The album's single, "Run, Woman, Run", peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Country Singles chart, Wynette's ninth song to top the chart.
