Sphenomorphinae is a large subfamily of skinks within the family Scincidae.[1] The genera in this subfamily were previously found to belong the Sphenomorphus group in the large subfamily Lygosominae.[2]

The subfamily Sphenomorphinae contains 586 species in 36 genera.[1]
