Fredrick Dewon Thomas Givens II (born March 29, 1996), known professionally as Fredo Bang, is an American rapper and songwriter. He is best known for his track "Oouuh" and his April 2020 mixtape Most Hated. He is signed to Se Lavi Productions and Def Jam Recordings.

Early life

Fredrick Givens II was born on March 29, 1996, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. [2] His mother, who works as a teacher, separated from his father when he was just a year old. Following his parents’ divorce, his mother remarried a cleaning company owner. Bang has four sisters and five brothers. Bang graduated from high school but dropped out of college. He started making music in 2015 and gained both fame and notoriety for his music.

Career

Givens gained recognition after the release of his July 2018 single "Oouuh".[2]

In January 2020, he was featured on Moneybagg Yo's track "Spin On Em", which received a music video in May 2020.[3] In April 2020, he released his debut studio album Most Hated, which peaked at number 110 on the Billboard 200.[4] On September 25, 2020, he released a new project titled In the Name of Gee.[5]

In January 2016, Givens was arrested on charges of attempted second degree murder. He served two years in jail for the charge before being released in 2018.[6]He gets off parole in 2023.
